Consolidation reporting combines the financial data of several entities — subsidiaries, trusts or related companies — into one set of group financial statements, presented as though the group were a single business. What is consolidation reporting?
Consolidation reporting combines the financial data of several entities — subsidiaries, trusts or related companies — into one set of group financial statements, as if the group were a single entity. Can Report Craft consolidate QuickBooks and Xero together?
Yes. Report Craft normalises data from both packages, so you can consolidate a group where some ledgers are on QuickBooks Online and others are on Xero. The consolidated statements look identical regardless of each client's underlying package.
How do I map accounts across different ledgers?
Each ledger's chart of accounts is mapped to a unified group chart. Report Craft remembers the mapping per source account, so once a ledger is set up its accounts flow into the correct group lines automatically on every future run.
How are eliminations and consolidation adjustments handled?
You post consolidation adjustments and elimination journals — for example, to remove intercompany loans, sales or investments. Adjustments can stay local to Report Craft or be posted back to QuickBooks or Xero, depending on how your firm works.
